alighnment settings?

I to noticed my 82SC sitting higher on one side It was lowered by the dealer when it had 1000 miles on it. Yes I have all records. when I installed the bilsteins sports It raised the car 1" in the rear and almost 2" in the front so I lowered the tortion bar adjusters to level it out but the drivers side was almost all the way down the pas side I made = to drivers and set the toe in an 1/8th. Until I can get to the alighnment shop. Do you guys think the tortion bars can be re indexed so the adjusting screws will be in the center of there travel. And will that lower the car more. Now it sits 25-1/2 front and 24-3/4 in the rear. I like the rear where it is fender 1-1/2" above the tire, but the front is about 2+" over the tire. Any clue if this is normal.

Not quite sure how to summarize your question, but, if you monkey with the front adjustment screws...you may end up fairly level but you might be "jacking" the car if the adjusters are not very similarly spaced within their adjustment range when you're done. Meaning? Don't think you're OK if you end-up level and if both adjuster's are not in the same relative spot ( say, both are NOT in the midpoint of it's travel range). Try that for a target. If you run out of range, I'm told you simply start over by repositining the adjuster and go at it again.

As far as the tires being at different spots inside the fender when the car is lowered, that is what would be expected. The front and rear fenders are cut differently (the rears are lower) so the rears will be higher inside the fender than the front unless you have the car at a steep rake.
The average for the "correct" height for our cars is 25.5 in the front and 25 in the rear, and that is actually with the car with a slight nose down attitude.
