Will EFI from 3.2 retrofit to 2.4 and 2.7 engines ?

I am hating my CIS and it's either carbs or EFI. The newer EFI seems to work well, or am I just dreaming ? Wanting to run better cams, higher compression and EFI if possible.

Have you priced Motec? I think it runs about the same as a 3.6 conversion especially once you add all the dyno time.

Are you thinking Motronic?

Motec will work on any type of four stroke combusion engine. It's probably overkill for your purposes.

Dam I meant motronic, or whatever is setting on top of a standard 3.2 liter

Edit your message and change the title. :-)

Motronic might work (I dunno - difference in capacities, need to add various sensors), but it is much less likely with different cams.

The cams in the 3.2 are pretty mild. Less than E cams and more like T cams. Motronic's airflow sensor can't deal with cam overlap, as I understand it.

Lotsa people have good CIS and are pretty knowledgeable on the whole system - what are you have problems with?

MoTeC on the other hand will work. But it is ex$pensive....... very.

Well it is real jerky around 2 to 2.5k (where it runs mostly in heavy seattle traffic) and is very unresponsive under 2k rpm. I find it much more difficult to drive than my 70 with carbs.

It seems like there are two modes full throttle and off throttle.

It would be worth money to me to make it easier to drive as I plan on keeping it until I die of old age.

You could fix your CIS or you could go with SDS or some other FI. I priced SDS one time and I think it can be done for around $3k. Not cheap but I bet it is better than the sucky CIS.

Go for MFI.
