Need some help here...was thinking on moving to these...I currently have full leather navy interior, and seem to be only finding BLACK ones out there...does anyone have any leads on where a guy can get customized ones, or better yet, should I do it myself? and if so where do I start?
Many thanks... Kevin

Pretty easy to make - you need to buy matching leather and put it on the panels, then add the few accessories (strap pulls, etc.).

I got mine off of ebay....pretty good stuff, and these actually mount the door pulls to the door frame...makes for a real solid feel.

Check with the guy selling on Ebay, Robert Breshears, if you are not inclined to make them yourself. I got my kit from him, and it sounded like he would work with you for a custom leather job.

I e-mailed him about doing grey ones for my car. His asking price was 200 for assembly and parts. You provide the matching leather material though.

I think he also sells just the bare (PVC?) pre-cut RS panels & hardware, so you can cover them in whatever you wish.

RS / RS America Door Panels
I'm Bob (Robert) Breshears, the guy that many of you have mentioned as a seller on E-Bay of all flavors of door panels for 911/912/930's. I Die cut my panels from fiberboard and add a layer of sound deadening foam. I am willing to sell RS and RSA Do it yourself kits for you guys that are not satified with Black Vinyl, Black leather or Carbon fiber look Vinyl. I have also redesigned the RS America panel set to work on earlier cars without the expense of an adapter kit. I relocated the opener hole to make installation a snap. I'm attaching a pic of the kit for earlier cars. They can be used on 1969 to 1973 models and with a little more work will fit on a 65-68 I have been hoping to be contacted by Wayne and start selling them through our host. But for now you can purchase them direct. E-mail me at bob@appbiz.com with questions

Guess my pic of the RS America panels did not upload, here it is.
This is the pic of the panel designed for 1965-1973 911/912 note the relocation of the opener bezel and strap. This makes for a much easier install Bob Last edited by appbiz; 02-07-2003 at 05:38 AM.. |

Very nice. How about mid-year cars? Make any for a '74?

Can you quote me a price? PM if you like? It'll be something I'd like to do this spring or summer with the rest of my interior.
Thanks.

I believe he also has an add in the current Excellence with some prices and info.
Robert, you need to setup a small website just with some info if you can't get them into Pelican soon. When I've got "extra" money I'll be making a purchase myself as the info looks good.

I purchased some RS door panels from Bob and they are very good quality. I haven't installed them yet, but they look good setting in my office.
