Warm start problems 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera
New battery and new starter. After car is warm it won't restart acts like batters is dead lights work but it makes very weak sound when it starts. After car sits for a while and cools off (normally overnight) it starts fine and drives fine. Basically, I can only use the car for very short trips. Any ideas? Thank you.

Welcome aboard.
Not for nothing but check the voltage after you run her or check voltage while car is at around 3500 RPMs. The other thing is the connectors make sure there not a fracture from over tightening it. I am thinking it could be the alternator not recharging the battery.

This. Replace the braided ground strap at the transaxle.
