My first post 911 Carrera 3.2
Hi
I was fortunate to find this good example of a 911 Carrera. My turn signal lever on this steering is functional but it is sounds so mechanical with a loud click in either direction, is this normal ? Thanks ![]()

ah, a nice "golden eye", congrats!
yes, that lever clicks that way. as long as you can switch lights properly, all is well.

Nice find and love the color !!
Yes, the turn signal stalk has a louder click versus modern cars.

I need those speakers on the door to go.
Don't know why the previous owner changed them for a Sony |

probably because mostly the newer speakers have a slightly wider diameter and the old "plug-in" speaker covers don't fit.
so most replacements will use the cover out from the box. unquestionable, most covers have no style, and most replacer have no taste (or don't care) to think of something better/nicer.

Hi
I was poking around in my car and found this red switch under my drivers side dash. Is it a kill switch ? Does it come standard or was fitted by a previous owner ? My battery is disconnected and I could not verify |

That switch is a somewhat standard battery cutoff item. Can't say what it's wired for in your car, but based on the switch alone, it stands to reason.
Speaking of switches, the turn signal switches on these cars are by far my least favorite aspect. They feel CHEAP in use. Always as if they're gonna break. God forbid you have to cancel the turn signal manually. Ewwwww!

The switches are loud. And some day it will start acting up and going to brights whenever you cancel the signal. I think I'm going to have to take mine apart for the 3rd time - I am blinding other drivers after every turn at night.
