Help Identifying Frunk Wires - 89 Targa

I was trying to chase down the ground wire and power wire for my factory under passenger seat blaupunkt amp to remove it. In the process I pulled on the black wire as seen in the picture which runs to the battery.

Is this wire supposed to connect to the thick red with white stripe wire with connector near the fuses?

Any help would be appreciated! The car did have a very old car phone system that I yanked out a while back. Maybe, this black wire that runs to the battery was used to power it?

Definitely aftermarket. I noticed that it also has an uninsulated connector in the lower picture and appears to be connected to the positive battery terminal without a fuse. Very bad idea if it would ever touch any part of the chassis!

I larger gauge red/white coming out under that third fuse could be your headlight cleaning system power source. It is powered off the 30 bus which is hot always feed. I can see why people might use this as a supply for accessories. I would buzz continuity to the bottom of that third fuse and verify it is hot with key off and out.

Have you looked at the wiring diagrams? There on Pelican some where. After a few minutes study and familiarizing your self with the fuse numbering system its pretty easy to figure out.

Does your sun roof work? I want to say the big red with white is for sunroof or windows?
