PMO out of business?

Does anyone know if PMO has gone out of business? I have been trying to fax them for almost a week with no response. Does anyone know a source for PMO intakes and spacers? I am converting from the CIS on my 3.0 to Webers (If PMO can still use a Fax I can use carbs end of debate), my understanding is that PMO is the only choice I have for this conversion.

Richard doesn't publish his phone number. You must fax him.

Actually, it's great as it allows him to get work done without spending all day on the phone. For a small operation like his, it's a great policy.

This reason right here would point me in the direction of a different vendor.

It's not good business if he is not responding to requests. I have sent three Fax request since last week, still no response. If I knew where else to purchase the parts I need I would but so far no one has offered that information.

You just never know. Maybe his mom died. Maybe he had a heart attack.

He has plenty of retail vendors he sells through. Try calling Steve at Rennsport Systems.

If that's the case then my condolences and or quick recovery.

That escalated quickly!

As far as the retail vendors, our host included, I was only finding ones that sold complete systems. I am not in need of a complete system. I also had questions for what I would need, was hoping to get it from the source not second hand.

I did get a source, thank you Clay! It still does not change my opinion, that in this day and age there are far more reliable forms of communication, that would not interrupt your work day, if you so wished. Good for him that he has a monopoly and obviously some very loyal followers, I hope to be singing the praises of PMO nation soon.

The other question I had was what size ports I have. I was told it's a big port motor. Some say it's 40MM some 38MM? It's a 1978 3.0 SC.

I do agree that it's a backwards approach to things in this day and age. He should at a minimum update it to using an email instead of a fax.

I always liked the way GT Racing did it. You called and if you got the voicemail it told you that in the mornings they do sales and service and in the afternoon they are shipping. They returned all calls within 24 hours and frequently more quickly than that. Don't know if it's still done that way since I'm not on that side of the business anymore, but it seemed like a good system for a small busy operation.

Back in the '90s, I talked to a guy at the shop where I took my car at the time. I had a question about webers (parts, etc. I don't remember exactly what at the time), and he said to call Richard because he would know about it. He gave me Richard's number and I called later on. When he answered the phone, I told him my name and said I had a question about whatever it was at the time. He asked who told me to call, & I said it was the shop (gave the name of it) where I took my car. He let out a string of expletives and said he didn't want them giving out his number. I was pretty taken aback and excused myself and hung up.

Everyone will be relieved Richard is alive he did just leave me a message, I don't, however know the status of his mother.

They are actually 39mm. I found some REP manifolds on ebay a while back. I had to port match to my '78 SC motor however.

+1 on Oil Analysis company for the insulators.
