Classic wevo shifter question

This pertains to the 930 4 speed transmission.

Can I use a 1987 style bolt on shifter with classic style wevo shifter for the 930?

The 1987 would have G50 transmission, while the 930 would have a 915 transmission. The shift mechanisms are not interchangeable between the two.

Classic wevo shifter question

My fault I mean the shift knob? I know the wevo classic 930 shifter uses a crush sleeve. Wondering if I could make the later bolt on style shift knob work with the wevo classic 930 shifter.

What's the diameter of the shifter tubing on the 930 shifter? I know for certain that the G50 shifter is 14mm. Then you can confirm if the inside diameter of the G50 knob will fit over your 930 shifter lever.

If that works, you can put a slug/insert of suitable size into the 930 shift lever. The slug would be drilled and tapped to accept a bolt with M8x1.25 threads. Or you could use 5/16-18 if that's all you have handy in terms of drill sizes and taps.
