How to fix Chain Case Gasket Leak?

I have a massive oil leak between the lower valve cover and what I think is the chain case, passenger side. I attached a photo. Seems to be a failed gasket. I just replaced the valve cover gaskets and they are now sealed. I'm losing about a quart per 100 miles.

So... do I have to pull the engine to repair this? What exactly do I need to remove to get to this? I'm trying to decide if I can do this myself or go to my nearest expert.

Thank you!

Greg

I just had my chain covers off for a re-seal and I can't say for sure, but once the muffler and rear tin are off you could probably get at it.... but it would be a breeze with the engine out.... Anything else need looking at? clutch ? throwout bearing? valve adjust? ... it's one of those type things - you'll end up doing a bunch of other small tasks which is always a good thing...
