Custom 911 front brakes ???
I have bought a 911SC with a 928 S4 (black 2 puck) setup on it that appears to be different from what I have found on the web.
The setup per disassembly and 2008 build notes is as follows: 928 S4 calipers 928 to 911 machined adapter Coleman floating 350mm rotor 12bolt to 5 bolt aluminum adapter 911.341.605.4 hub Porterfield pads There is some checking on the rotors so I was going to get new ones does anyone know of a 2 piece that looks like this? Coleman said with out the customer name they can't help. Thanks Bill
All I know is this is the best stopping 911 I have ever driven on the track. Has great braking balance and good pedal feel at 100 and over on entry to corners. The checking is not horrible yet but figured I would get replacements in house. Coleman said just send them the set and they could make them. I know the $$$$ but the brakes work great so it is cheap compared to a blown rotor at speed. |
I have had Coleman make custom rotors from a sample part. Price and lead time were good. I would just send them the rotor and have them copy it. They will give you the specs so reordering will be easier in the future.
