Anybody got a Z-block, dial ind., late style cam tool I can borrow or rent?
I really screwed up on this and just want to make sure. Before I go spend $200 on this, I'd like to see if there is anyone who would be willing to let me borrow or rent one. I'm in Los Angeles, I can come pick up if not too far. Ship next day, and I'll cover it?

Get brass fittings from the hardware store and make your own Z-block! A coupe of t-fittings, and elbow and some 1/8" NPT nipples, a drill press and tap for a lock screw (for the dial gauge)....and....voila!
Sears or other HW stores have dial gauges... I wish I'd taken a piture of my "Souk-block" ![]() You can have your own set up for about $50...maybe |
