rust

I just removed the rear deck (inside below rear window) from my car it looked warped and below it is some surface rust ,should I replace this piece ,how critical is this area to structural rigidity, my rear seats have some surface rust with one small hole , ideas please .Replacement panels ? source.

I don't think a flat piece of sheet metal would be crucial to the chassis, but it's curious as to how it got warped. You should definitly neutralize the rust now and weld in a patch or at the least cover the holes with tape to keep engine fumes out.

One place that sells panels is: www.restoration-design.com but check Pelican first.

sorry the warp was the panel above the metal, leather insulation doodad ,I looked at both the Pelican and the company you mentioned and sites it seems to be an overlooked panel ,actually the rear seats and the back piece are two pieces I don't see listed ,the only two I need of course,Jack Olsen and BB2 are planning a rear seat delete so I will watch there progress with a close eye.Thanks for your reply.
