grille badge update: new pic

Some of you may have missed my late Sunday night post with pics of the first (prototype) 3.6 grille badge. Well, those pics sucked; hopefully this one is a bit better.

Jack, your Paypal idea is a great one; I'll check into it Tuesday.

It's a go, so look for updates and contact info in the next few days!

Cheers,
Jim

Can you anodize them in different colors? Will be sort of cool to match them up with the color of the car : )

The uniform color is how many of these badges look now, but I think they originally had the background area anodized (or maybe painted) black, to match the grille.

I'm sure they could be painted by hand. It doesn't look too hard.

Awesome badges, though!

Yeah, I was thinking it could be submerged in black paint, with a few drops in the hole of the '6.'

the way to paint them is to paint the whole thing, then sand off the letters (very much like you'd lap a shim on a honing stone). use 600 then 1000 then 1500 grit to get a good shine on them.

The BMW guys do this all the time for their valve covers...it works great.
