Show me your dash trim upgrade
Hi,
I do find my 76 dash trim (excluding the gauges) is pretty plain and beat up. What is a typical trim upgrade for these cars? I wouldn't mind some carbon fiber myself. Here is what I did on my 71 w114 coupe, originally wood and I wrapped the trim in carbon fiber vinyl. ![]()

if you go on eBay and look for porsche dash vinyl you will see the material that is used to make this type of look. I bought the aluminum as well to make a pre 73 type look in my 77

I backdated my ‘69 to incorporate early 911 and 356 style cues with body colored steel and green face gauges. I polished the air vent controls, removed the rubber switch surrounds, painted column clamshell, replaced black steering hub extension, and made a custom stainless steel ignition switch surround.
