Front spindle clamping nut
Hi All, I'm restoring a 71 911T. When I bought new front struts I had to upgrade to 3.5 inch caliper spacing.
Now I'm noticing that the front spindle clamping nut does not fit. I obviously need a bigger one than my original. Just want to check my sanity before I look for the right size. The PET states two sizes, M16 and M18. It's kinda obvious that I need the M18 but an anyone confirm the above. Thanks as always, Jörgen Forssling Göteborg SWEDEN |

1965 - 1973 is part number 914 341 671 00, or 16mm with a 1mm pitch.
1974 - 1989 in 911 341 673 00, or 18mm with a 1mm pitch. The only other part that will not match is the outer bearing washer - you'll need a new pair of these. (911 341 663 00) Those referenced years should be taken with a grain of salt, as the early cars fitted with the 'S' calipers also had the 3.5" spacing. Bill K
