Wheel offsets

I am looking to buy some wheels for my 993 and I ran across a set that fits a C2. The owner says that they will not fit a 993/996. I thought all 964/993/996 wheels were the same offset and the pre 89 cars were the same. Which one is it? Where can i find an offset reference?

from one of his posts;

All cars with 17" wheels:
7" x 17" - ET55
9" x 17" - ET55 (add a 31 mm spacer for widebody)
Narrow body cars with 18" wheels:
8" x 18" - ET52
10" x 18" - ET65 (add a 25 mm spacer for widebody)

Widebody cars with 18" wheels:
8" x 18" - ET52
10" x 18" - ET40
