Awesome Carrera Turbo Look Cutaway ....

I saved this catalog cover from 1993. If cleaned up with photoshop it would make an excellent pic....Hope someone can use it. Also, I can email a full size scan if you'd like. MrNetvestor@yahoo.com

I've got a similar couple of cutaways by David Kimble.

They appeared in a statement-sized (1/2 of a standard 8-1/2 x11 sheet of paper) calendar that came with an issue of Motor Trend in 1991 maybe?

Lots of cool cutaways in this mini calendar. Ferrari Testarossa, Corvette ZR-1, Lamborghini Diablo, Nissan 300ZX TT, Toyota MR2 Turbo, Two 911's.......

Actually, the one you've got there Rick is a Carrera Turbolook. No intercooler. Also has the Motronic airbox, intake manifold and heat blower plenum.

Thanks for posting this cool picture. I'll see if I can find mine. The other picture I have is a dark blue Carrera I believe.

Kevin,
I love these pics. And you're right...it is a Carrera. Shame on me for not looking more closely. Hope you find your other cutaways, I'd love to see them.

Too bad it's not a turbo...it's still a great picture regardless.

Kevin - If you do happen to find the cutaway of the Diablo, I'd really like a copy. Thanks.

Anybody guess what year that is??

I first thought '86, but the shift boot says '83-'85. Dunno, I'm a newbie.

The black Porsche script across the back lens, the 3 spoke wheel etc makes it an '84-85 doesnt it?

My '85 had a 4 spoke...I think. I can't really remember as I switched to the 930s wheel a while ago.
