Engine cooling fan.

Can the "curved' blade fan from the later 911 engines (early 90's), which have less fan whine noise, be bolted into a 911 1977 engine?

It can be done using the later fan housing, but I would NOT recommend it.

Straight-blade fans flow more air and thats exactly what mag-cased engines need. Use an 11-blade 2.4-2.7 fan with the correct pulleys for proper cooling.
