Kendall oil users. Which GT-1 do you use?

I see they have GT-1 regular, GT-1 synth blend, or GT-1 full synth.

Most everyone refers to them as just "GT-1".

Are you using the regular oil or one of the synthetics (blend or full)?

I'm the same as John. Well, I'm easily a hundred pounds and six inches smaller. (total height is what I mean) And I know less than 1% of the stuff he knows about Porsches.

But we have motor oil in common, at least. 20w 50.

Garage
Just switched from Mobil-1 15w50 to Kendall 20w-50 to try to tame some very same seal leaks, I'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys.

Can I assume that Chuck's reference to "racing" is more about how good he feels the oil is versus a specific product? Kendall information doesn't support a "racing" oil. Maybe there's one out there but I couldn't find a reference to it.

it should support the 500deg top piston ring to barrel temps without toasting.. don't know what it will support

Chuck

oil survey
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For what's it's worth, I've been around racing since the late 60's and I've been running KENDALL GT-1
Racing Oil in all my cars since the early 70's ...
used straight 40W until the 80's then switched to 20-50W. I live in Southern Cal. where the temp. is mostly
warm to hot. I presently run this oil in a 98' S-10 pick up, a 67'Mallabu, and of course the 73' 911-S....
In the past I've ran this oil in an Alfa GTA C-Sedan, Formula Ford, Formula Atlantic, 55'Chevy drag car ....
and the list (between me and my racing friends) goes
on and on.
Check it out yourself at the track .....

It always makes me smile when I walk the road racing, drag, and circle track pits and see the 'black cases of green-death' over in the corner even when there might be the name of another oil on the side of the car.......... Again, for what it's worth

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was posted before they changed the color of GT-1 from green to gold.

Sorry, the ID reads 'High Performance' not 'Racing'
