3.0 litre on 69 , do I need brake booster?

My 69 restoration almost being finished ! All the drive train, suspension and brake system came from a 79 donor ! No brake booster installed ! Is it going to be an issue ?

My '72 with a hot rod 3.2 had carrera non power brakes and stopped fine. Just a tad more pedal pressure.

You are saying you are using the '69 master cylinder? That should be no problem.

Also, I just retrofitted power brakes to my 75 because I've got a big honking motor in there and I wanted the extra stopping power.

It's a pretty involved job retrofitting the boosted MC that involves welding in the frunk among other things.

As the others have said, no, stock is fine

But you may have the holy grail of non boosted m/c for A/S & M brakes.

Early '69 used a 20.5mm non boosted m/c that is pure gold.

I haven't seen one in over 40yrs because the only replacements available are the more usual 19.05mm used from ~'69 1/2 through '76
