1986 915 Clutch adjustment question

Hey,

I just wanted to confirm that I can make the clutch adjustments at the transmission with the cable attached up front at the clevis.

I recently did a new clutch cable and from what I understand I need to do the adjustment a second time after driving the car. So I’m basically just trying to confirm that I can loosen the 15 mm nuts and then set the 1.2/1.0mm gap while everything stays hooked up at the pedal.

Thanks!

Yes, leave the cable attached.
- loosen the 15mm nuts
- set the gap to 1.2 mm at the adjusting screw
- then tighten the nuts until the gap is 1.0 mm.

Don't forget to check your travel (set by the pedal stop in the floorboard) after you've got it hooked up and adjusted as mentioned above
