That lever under the dash will be your fresh air vent. Opens a valve to let fresh air enter the vent screen in front of the windshield and flow into the cabin via the defroster tubes. You can decide whether it goes to the windshield or the floor by setting the plastic slides in the door sills. No blower, though I believe it was an (rare) option. However, ventilation in SWB cars is best accomplished with the door window vent wings and rear popouts if a coupe.
No chokes on any 911. But some 68s have the hand throttle between the seats (mine does) which lets you set a fast idle until its warm enough to idle normally. Last edited by Daves911L; 02-26-2018 at 05:23 PM.. |

Are you asking about an Owners Manual or a Workshop Manual?
If you don't have the Owner's Manual, you should get one as many of your questions will be answered there.

Lyndon, Which one do you have? I may have an extra Owners Manual I could sell.

If you are looking for a shop manual, the options are not very good. There is a Haynes (https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/BK103995AM.htm?pn=BK-103995AM&SVSVSI=911E) and the Factory Workshop Manuals (our friends at S T O D D A R D has them on their on-line catalog as Part number wkd480520) or you would need to find a used set in the Classifieds). Unlike many other car makers, Porsche offers very little on-line documentation. This is coupled with a very strong legal department that aggressively pursues those who publish their copyrighted materials without their permission (which they rarely if ever grant).
