Could you provide some background and/or other pics explaining and showing how they were constructed? Are they one piece?

Couple of questions? What is the offset of those monsters? I think on your last set, you used spacers to clear the calipers? Same on these?

Just curious as to the turnaround time on those wheels.

I'm interested in some 7's (or 8's? I dunno what's best) and 9's for my car and just wondering how long it takes to get these made up for you.

No big deal really as my car spends more time on stands than on tires.......................:rolleyes:

RSR wheels - I had a set of those. You're chances of getting naked with Halle Berry are better than those of finding a set of street tires to fit those wheels.

I have a set of 17x11, currently shod with A032R's, which I'm driving on the street to burn them off so I can put something better on 'em.

Those are some big feet Jack! Good price too considering the cost of Fikse or the like. Your going to need those to fill out those massive flares.

I stopped by TRE a couple days ago and Tyson was kind enough to give me a tour of the work done on BB2. I was really impressed by the job they did on the flares and the work doe to move the drive drain forward. She's really coming along. The pics posted really don't do the work perfromed on the car justice.

It is sort of sad seeing BB1 out in the cold being stripped of her dignity.

Nice, but I still think the they would look better with the satin annodizing rather than polish.

The 15-inch RSR Wheels are a bear to get tires for. That's why I went with 17-inch diameters. I've got a set of 17x315 BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KD's for them.

The tires are just under 13 inches wide. (That's a lot of compensation. ;) )

The wheels are two piece wheels made by http://forums.pelicanparts.com/Lindsey Racing. They take a 6x16 Fuchs center, and weld it into a single piece rim. The turnaround time is a couple of weeks, if the rim size you need is available from their suppliers.

By the way, has Lindsey ever mentioned anything about the two "different" 16x6 Fuchs wheels?

One wheel (911 361 113 00, later version) appears a little beefier than the early version (911 362 020 43).

Just curious. Obviously the stronger-seeming wheel would be the wheel of choice. They both weight the same. Well, as best as a fishing or bathroom scale can measure. :p

I really, really like those wheels you had made up and the gargantuan rubber that will be fitted. I'm with John in liking the satin anodizing, but that's just a cosmetic preference. I respect that the polished look is where you're headed. The choice to keep a "Fuchs" looking wheel on your car is not only applauded, but to be drooled at also. Really cool. :cool: :cool: :cool:

Black Beauty is living at TRE right now?

Yes, it's there for another week. Tyson at TRE has built this car from the ground up, and the attention to detail is pretty phenomenal -- especially when you consider how quickly he's had to do it.

Here's one last shot of all the wheels. Note that the fronts, which are 9.5 inches wide, have much more backspacing.

This has the inadvertent effect of making them look like normal 7's in front, in spite of the fact that they have 275mm tires. The increased backspacing is part of Tyson's idea for improving the car's handling by minimizing the scrub radius penalty of going to wide front wheels.
