My take on the classic RUF Yellowbird / here we go again

Well, I didn’t think my last build would sell so fast, so what better way to soak up the tears then jumping right back into another build. I have always longed after the Yellowbird, I have seen a lot of replicas and clones done, but I haven’t really seen any done using all genuine RUF parts. I have been in talks with RUF dealer who will be sourcing me all G-body RUF genuine parts for this build. Soup to nuts! Again my goal will be roughly 2100 pounds, I have a few new ideas to get me there, and 300-325WHP So I took delivery of this 74 pig and got right to work | ||

Great Project and I really enjoyed following your last build. Here is some inspiration from a Yellowbird project built in the 80s with a 930 and lots of RUF parts. TurboKraft got it really moving, but it has looked the business for decades. This car has a RUF RSR/Turbo/IROC style bumper instead what I call the RUF Yellowbird style bumper with the fog lights. Which one are you going with?

I'm excited to follow this build. I've always loved the "yellow bird" as well.

I have some bumpers for sale but next iteration I believe. I like that YouTube video of the yellow bird on the Nurbring.

Not on the road/street.....his target is excellent and he'll be able to exercise that motor in a fun fashion without felony citation speeds.

True. I'd still contend that 400 WHP is a better target. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
