Have been busy wrestling with new bumper seals lights etc..for the last couple of weekends, will need to repaint the bumpers eventually but do like the look of the new seals. Now I am looking at the car and thinking I want to lower the front end just a bit, has new shocks front and back (coupld of years) the front sits ever so slightly higher than the back...is it as easy as the 101 book makes it look, just loostening a bolt? I also have a buzzing sound fromt he front dash when the key is turned, is this the key buzzer, and if so how do I make it go away?
Received my used dash today in PERFECT condition, was planning on waiting on that little project but am itching to get that perfect looking dash in... As always thanks for the help.. chris 70 911E 95 G20t FA-18C |

FA, it is just as easy as they say. Make all adjustments with car on ground, emergency brake on. Measure the height from ground to top of wheel well, get wrench, turn adjustment bolt one way, front goes up, turn other way, front goes down. I suggest spraying with penetrating fluid a few minutes before adjusting just to make sure things are loosened up. I kept the front end of my 72 E at around 25".

My car sits high in the rear. I have no idea as of yet how complex that is. Is it as easy as the front?

The rear sounds a bit more complicated...think its at a good height for my car, articles recommend alignment after adjustment, I am not doing anything radical, is it reasonable to see how the car feels and rides to assess any alignment issues.

The rear is much more complicated unless you are just doing atiny bit and have adjustable spring plates. If you need more in the rear and you have to much with the torsion bars you will likely screw up the corner balance which is bad. I believe when you lower the car you get more neg camber which isn't bad if it's equal on both sides, but I believe you also increase toe from toe-in to toe-out which can be dangerous for straight line stability. I'm sure it's here somewhere, and also in the rennlist archives methods to check the toe and camber on your car at home in your driveway to see how things are and how they change when you lower the car.
