Frequency Valve Chaos!

Frequency Valve Chaos!

Man, I have been through it the last month trying to figure out what was going on with my CIS. It is hooked up chaotically and it has a strange Frequency Valve (0-280-150-302) on it that I can’t find a single picture of on a 911.

At some point, I guess the original(0-280-150-300) failed and someone switched it out to a VW part (0-280-150-302) OR this part was used by Porsche. The reason I think that, is there are a few other guys with the 302 FV in their cars as well. But it didn’t really matter on my car as it was hooked up wrong, to the return line where it did nothing. From what I can tell the 300 is the proper part or at least what the vast majority have on their cars.

Anywho.. here is a fun fact. There are at least 2 Bosch Parts that will work. There are others with the same specs but I’m sure using them would be a question of fittings, which look the same on a lot of them. Some are compression fittings that are plastic, some have a strange electrical connection, so you have to look. But the take away here is that there are a few that will work and are a very similar Bosch part for $100 vs $800. Below are the specs on the two that I think will work.

BOSCH LBS/HR CC/MIN GRAMS PSI BAR
0-280-150-300 18.1 190.2 136.8 43.5 3
0-280-150-302 18.1 190.2 136.8 43.5 3

302 VW/Audi:

Mine (302)... on the return line:

Thoughts on this chaos?
