The wheels are going on a project, so they're not for sale. If you're looking for a set, I'd advise to look locally. I've seen them posted in the classifieds section, I'd advise to inspect in person. There are a few Pelicans that are knowledgeable on BBS racing wheels, do a forums search.

Holy steam roller!
I'm not a fan of 15's, but when I see 345's, I take a major exception!!! Sorry, I have nothing. Should be many places to handle resto.

What's the date of manufacture on those tires?
If new I would consider them too. I had a set given to me that were old (out of date), unused and dry rotted. You can get new treaded Avons for 15 inch rims from Roger Kraus. Roger Kraus Racing Ent., Inc.- Castro Valley, CA. ![]() ![]() |

Tippy, You might like them on the right car.
Ted, I've got to check. Thanks for the tip on Roger Kraus, great option, they're not too far away. ![]() |

The outer halves look like they would be easy to polish. The basket weave centers, hard to tell from the picture.
Are those centers mag or aluminum? Show us a picture of what they are going on.

If you’re looking for recommendations on wheel refurb outfits, try these.
Shore Polishing And Finishing - Home Frank is very well versed in vintage BBS restoration. Ehrlich Wheel Works | BBS RS Specialists and more Paul does tremendous custom finishes and custom machining. *i have no affiliation with either. I’ve just seen their work and was impressed.

Trackrash,
The wheels are BBS racing E50 magnesium. I believe all BBS E50 centers are magnesium and in the recent years, they started reproducing them in aluminum. The earlier wheels have a thinner spoke, I prefer the look. They're going on a wide body beater. I use to attend local C&C events, guys ripped on the car's appearance, now I don't participate, just park away from the show. It's used as, under construction, daily transportation. I'll post pic/s when it's more presentable. Last edited by Chino; 03-31-2018 at 09:00 AM.. |

chrisbalich,
Appreciate the recommendations, I might consider them. There are a couple of local guys, I was thinking of using, one restores vintage military vehicles and the other restores guns. A Pelican restored his own, with great results. ![]() |

The old magnesium is prone to corrosion. Careful inspection of the centers may be in order. Good luck.

Gordon,
Thanks for the tip. The wheels I've picked up have been on local outdated street cars/ garage queen. In the Sacramento area, it's dry / not humid, not near the coast, doesn't snow nor do they use salt on roads. Locals use to buy the wheels at Intermag in Berkeley CA, back in the day. Most of the old BBS E50 wheels I've seen have been accented to match the car, usually, black, red or white. Silver was a popular color, when folks were trying to get away from 80's gold. |

I got 3 sets of 16" BBS E501s with my 78 SC/930, 8, 9, and 11" width. want to use them when the project is finished but avail of 16" tires will be the problem. especially on the 11" ones.
mine definitely need restoring. ![]()

Bob,
Nice car / wheel collection. Ted mentioned Roger Kraus, for tire options. If you decide to change diameter / width size, Bob Woodman or post a WTB in classifieds section. I have some old various 15" & 16" halves I need to go through. If you decide to sell any of your wheels, I can provide you with potential Pelicans interested. |

wont know until almost finished with build, probably at least another year.
the challenge will be what 16" tires are available then.... will definitely rebuild a full set, just dont know what widths/offsets until I know what tires I can get. pic from PO before I dismantled it. the 11" wheels had a set of OLD michellin 305s that were rotted. ![]()
