The brass units go on the front lip where the front windshield meets the top. And perhaps the others hold the liner in place around the sunroof?

What I know is you want dozens and dozens of Acco clips, which you use all around to hold the headliner in place until the glue sets. And if a bit of moving here and there while the glue is fresh is needed to get it stretched right, the Accos release easily. You wouldn't want to use these, as they are semi-permanent. The 1973 parts catalog shows five front and five rear, but gives no indication as to where they should go. | ||

Just had my headliner installed yesterday by professional and he installed the clips in the radius corners front and back windshields. | ||
