NY Pelicanite in LA for a few days this week

I'm heading out to LA (Santa Monica) for work from Wednesday to Friday and will have a few hours to kill. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to get a good solid Porsche fix. With all this snow, freezing rain and salt, I've got a serious case of Porsche DTs.

(Also... thinking of stopping by MM for a bit of serious discussion. Think it will do any good?)

have a Boxster from http://www.budgetbeverlyhills.com/showroom/convertibles.shtml here waiting for you at LAX. Drive the ***** out of it throughout the canyons by Malibu until Friday. Drop it off at the airport, fly home; tell employer you were: -"deathly sick" --"worked like a dog" --"got stuck in traffic on the freeway" -- "can't wait 'til spring!" well, you asked for a porsche fix! that would do it for me. max

The Petersen Auto Museum has some cool Porsches in its permanent collection, and also is currently running a car-as-art show.

Believe it or not, Ferdinand Porsche's handiwork played a role in this:

Symbolic Motors at Wilshire and La Cienega always has some cars to drool over.

And Denis (Speeder) and Tyson Schmidt recently visited Heritage Motors in West Hollywood, which apparentlyhas some stuff worth looking at (to say the least).

What the hell, get the 996tt for $900@day/$5400@week. (Possible online discount). You only go around once!

Actually I had a little siezure when I saw that rate, the price of profiling short-term in L.A. You can truly rent anything w/ wheels here, all it takes is $$. No way I'd have a driver's licence after one $900 day w/ that thing.

Ron: I'll e you separately.

Jack: Nice call. I'll definitely try and work the museum in. A friend of mine in LA has a good buddy working at Heritage (I assume you mean Heriitage Classics?). Perhaps I can talk him into loaning me either their '59 356 A CAB or the '88 959 for a few hours.....NOT.

Maxnine11: I think I'd never make the the flight home :-)
