Part # for 16 x 8 Fuch wheel
Does anybody have the part # for the factory 16 x 8 fuch wheel that fits a 944 Turbo? I want to make sure I get the right one.
I understand that I can use the 944 16 x 8 for a front wheel and use without spacers. The 911 16 x 8 has too much offset. Right? So, assuming the correct wheel up front (the 944 16 x 8) - I can use 225 x 50 wheels up front - may require a little negative camber. Right? For the backs use 255 x 45 wheels - I have a set of 16 x 9"s en route. My car - 1987 Carerra 3.2 Cabriolet. The pcitures of Tysons' Cab with those meaty wheels & Tires got me all charged up!

Who makes a 255/45 series 16 in. tire? I thought 255/50 was the lowest aspect ratio "big" 16 anymore? 255/50 is an inch taller/larger in diameter than stock diameter and would probably rub the rear fender near the bumper extension. 245/45 is the more common choice, no?
I think you'll also have to roll/shave your fender lips with the 951 8's and 225/50's. 911/930 16x8 is for the rear.

i'm running 16x9 fuchs ( off of a turbo, there is only one 16x9 fuch part number) with 245/45s bridgestones on my SC . no interference, no fender modifications. I have no experience with the 8s on the front, but it has been discussed on the board several times. Try a search. max

The 951 8's have been mentioned here a number of times. It's also mentioned in The 911 Performance Handbook.
Here's a good example: 8 in. Fuchs Being that the front is a tight fit, I imagine the brand of tire you select is going to be important. If you're sure you don't want to roll/shave the fender lips, it would be wise to select the 225/50-16 with a narrow manufacturer's section width. Need a little more neg. camber as well.
