Missing spline for 3.2 Carrera steering wheel ?

Saw one for sale locally, so I thought it would be fun to refurbish a 3.2 Carrera steering wheel.
I will probably keep it as a spare.

I always wanted to try an upholstery project,
and this seems like a plausible first project.

The wheel is missing the female spline part.
I suspect it was transferred over to the aftermarket wheel.

Anyone know where I can source the spline part?

For comparison, below shows the splined part that is missing. Does someone make it?

Never seen one advertised anywhere. I could use one too.

I think the owner transferred the spline for use with his aftermarket wheel.
Common to remove the spline and bolt it onto your Momo wheel?

Looks like this was a wheel with a hub extension which is attached to the hub with 3 allen bolts. The extension part is not available individually so it's going to be difficult to complete the wheel.

What Alex said above. You can swap a std non extended hub on it by drilling out the 4 rivets.

If you drill out the 4 rivets, how do you re-attach a standard hub (with spline)?
Are standard hubs commonly sold?

You try and find a std non extended hub froma a worn out wheel.
Hubs, std or extended are not available as spare parts from Porsche.

If you could buy the hub it would be nice as there are so many 924/928/944 wheels out there that no one wants.

I'm not sure I understand your logic.
What does this have to do with 924/928/944 steering wheels?

I sold a 1982 928 four spoke wheel to a SC owner. The wheel fitted his car, so they must be swappable.

First I've ever heard of this.

Big thanks to SWS911 for sending me a regular steering wheel crush tube hub with spline.

I'll swap this one onto the wheel
Just need to figure out the nest method to remove those rivet heads.
Then get 4 high strength bolts and use red Loctite

That hub fits a 911? I'd love to know more about that...

Pull back the rubber cover and your car also has that.
