Euro/RoW Bumper Impact Strips Install Question

Fellow Pelicans,

I recently purchased the Euro/RoW Bumper Impact Strips for my 1982 911 SC. Circled in the picture below, are the strips I am talking about.

They are part no.: 911-505-307-00-OEM & 911-505-308-00-OEM

I went to remove the US light strip, which has 2 screws that hold them in place. However, the rubber impact strips have screws embedded into the the strips themselves. I cannot figure out how to install these since you cannot turn the screws.

Here is a pic of the strip and the embedded screw:

How do I install these darn things??

You need to remove the entire housing. Not just take off the lens.
It is bolted to the bumper. Access to the nuts is from the back.
What you are calling screws are threaded bolts.(studs)
The nuts holding the housing in place fit the studs.
Access sucks to do the swap. Horns, coolers, etc are in the way.
Some suggest removing the lower valence, I was able to do it without removing it.
Seal off the wires you have to remove as well.

Thank you SO MUCH. This makes perfect sense.

Tim, can ask you a question: did you just replace the reflectors with the rubber strip? I have a US car, where the turn indicator/parklight are on the sides and reflector in the front. I'd like to do your setup with the lamps in the front and the side rubber bits.

If you don't mind, what part is your turn/park lamp?

Thanks!
