Sagging targa roof

Hi,
My targa roof from outside is 10 out of 10 condition.
Inside the mechanism is good but the thin roof fabric is sagging, looks like crap, not torn or anything just sagging.
Any hints how to fix this?

Thank you.

You may find this thread helpful in making up your mind about how to proceed in a Targa Top Rebuild.

Targa Top Rebuild

For me, it was sending it to Dan.

I would reach out to Dan to see what he says. You may be surprised.

Everyone has their budget and spending priorities. Can we refrain from second guessing someone's preferences and choices they make in what they do with their own car ?

Kavadarci,

Is it only the liner peeling or the backing itself is a goner ?

Looks like a fun DIY project. Here's one from way back in 2014.

Kavadarchi -- If I recall correctly, you haven't had the opportunity to drive your car yet. If I'm correct, I strongly suspect that you're going to find (and chase down) wind noise/sealing issues between your top and the roof, targa bar and/or windows. If I was in your position, I'd put minimal effort into addressing the sagging liner until you can comprehensively assess whether the top is going to require additional repair/restoration to properly (and quietly) interface with your car.

Thank you everyone.
I will contact Dan for his advise.

I did drive the car and has no wind noise from the roof (I did pay attention), even at 90 miles feels good.
Top is perfect as i mentioned, only problem is that first sagging material. I will see what Dan says but honestly don't see being a big issue to clean, apply new foam and use 3M to glue it back.
I've done similar for other cars and have had good luck but never for a targa roof.

Thank you again for the variations of advises and opinion, I appreciate them all.

Jesus, some of you couldn't even refill your own wiper fluid without spending money for a professional to do it. Man up.

Typically the foam backing on the headliner has disintegrated, not the glue, resulting in the sagging liner. Buy a new headliner from our host, some spray adhesive and you will be good to go.
