Throttle pedal AM replacement
So...clearly the design works...but I was pretty shocked to see that the OEM throttle pedal is literally a piece of flexy-plastic after taking apart my pedal box for the first time.
The OCD side of me wants to replace this plastic assembly with something aluminum with hinges and likely expensive. Any ideas?? I've searched around and come up blank. (Back story...I've been in one accident in my life. I was 15 and my throttle pedal broke on my 1971 Renault 10 on a test-drive and while I was trying to sort it out with my toe I got t-boned while I wasn't looking where I was going. So I have PTSD on all things throttle related. Over sharing. LOL )

If you choose a new pedal, make your choice as simple as can be. Fancy and flashy or grippy will cause problems at some point in your driving . There is a reason for the factory pedals being so simple . I know this because I have been teaching racing and building racing cars for 47 years.
Good footwork is a developed skill. I hope this helps Ian

I was also surprised at the simplicity when I first removed the pedal board.
Keep in mind it is just a pad for your foot. It engages the throttle linkage. It's not a complicated part. You can purchase a OE Porsche replacement: https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperCat/911M/POR_911M_PPEDAL_pg2.htm |

I know...right?
Just blows my mind that the go-fast pedal is a bendy piece of plastic.

Now that you mention it, I think it is the ONLY piece of original plastic left on my car. Now you go me thinking, since I did have the throttle pivot bushing under the pedal disintegrate catastrophically while I was auto crossing recently. Sounds like another covid project.
