valeo alternator help
Folks, looks like there are a number of posts on this but I can't seem to get the answer.
My old unit had 4 terminals; red, ground, blue and black. The new unit has 3 terminals and I have read that the new units have an internal regulator and I have seen pictures that clearly have a regulator on the back but the new unit from Pelican does not have one. So, is the regulator internally buried or does it have one? and what would the correct wiring be? Photo attached of new unit. Thanks, Joe ![]() |

Internal regulator
The regulator is built into the brush holder between the blue and yellow wires. IIRC.

Wiring:
Red cable to top left terminal by yellow wire, brown wire (ground) top right terminal by blue wire, Original blue wire to bottom right terminal. Leave the black wire disconnected. (Tie it back and tape it off)
