Engine identification help

Need help identifying early Porsche 911 engine. Block number is 3280333. Would appreciate any help.

ok, red book states that it is a august 1967-july 1968 run. 911 manual US coupe 473 produced. serial range 3280001-3281606. there should be a stamp on the base of the engine by the serial number that reads 901/14. the chassis serial number should tell what type of 911 it is.

Thanks. This was a spare engine that came with the car when I bought it. So no chassis.
