I am in the process of trying to identify these rims. I found this ad in a Panorama from Oct. '67. There is no manufacture stamping on the inside of the rim - only a few numbers (and it doesn't begin with a typical porsche 901.... part #).
I recently just finished restoring the car (see photo) and was thinking about replacing the rims with original 4.5x15 fuchs but I'm beginning to actually like these aluminum sport wheels. If anyone has more information about these rims, I would appreciate it. Many thanks, Scott FYI - If there are any vintage racing fans, or Porschephiles in New England who are looking for a shop - check out this site: www.ktrmotorsports.com They rebuilt my motor (photo) and are one of the most respected shops in the New England area. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Those are sometimes called "Keystones"...possibly "American Western"
they had fitments for 914s/bugs and even Volvo 122s. Per GRM/Classic Autosport |

Those are McAfee wheels (Jack McAfee)......you sometimes see them show up on Ebay....I've seen a few early 911's, 912's, and late 356's with them....
I believe those wheels are 5.5 x 15.....the 67S Fuchs are 4.5's so, you won't get much tread on the road....If you want the Fuchs look, perhaps a later set of 5.5's (1968 only), or early deep 6's (69 to 71), and then have them redone like the 67S alloys... Nice looking engine! Eric 67S 307164S, RGruppe 67S 307117S, project |

Thanks for the information all. I think I'm just going to keep my "McAfee" rims on the car for now - unless I come across a superb set of 5.5 fuchs.
