what fuel pump

I have decided to replace the fuel pump, the fuel check valve and the hoses on my car.
From day one the pump is very loud i can hear it over everything, it is mounted nicely with rubber it is just one loud device.

I want a new one.
What are my choices here? I think mine is factory unit.

Thank you.

Is it loud enough to hear over the engine running noise?

I just replaced mine a couple of days ago. I went with BOSCH - bought it off Amazon real cheap $139 (included tax and 2 days shipping). The one I replaced was also the same unit. I have a 1981 911SC - I purchased Bosch 69466

Mine started humming real loud after a 100 miles jaunt in rural IA.. Once they start humming - its the beginning of the end. Ask me how I know..
e.g. Ive done a couple roadside fuel pump replacements (in BMW's)..

Have you cleaned the pre-filter in the tank? It would be a drag to replace the pump and have the same noise from cavitation.....

It is loud enough to hear it even with bisimoto sound chamber so yes I can hear it.
No I haven’t cleaned he pre filter.
I’ve taken the pump out and all looked clean to me.

I have new fuel filter in the engine bay.

By the way where is the fuel tank filter located?

On the bottom, looks like a large allen head socket.

Yeah I tried to remove that when I attempted to empty the tank, it was a no go it felt like I could brake the whole bolt out of the metal.

Not sure how much forse is required.

Here is a video of the fuel pump in action.
Is this considered noisy pump?

To check the pre-filter just take out the sender unit from the top and shine a flashlight done into the tank - you can see a layer a sediment (or not) from that viewpoint.

I wouldn't remove the bottom nut unless you are going to clean (or drain) the tank / filter.

No doubt..

I wouldn't mess with it - Its a cheap insurance policy to change. They can go at any time and Murphy's law dictates it'll be at the worst time.

Just google "humming fuel pump" if you're not a believer..

No, yours is in the rear and is different than the SCs
You can send the old pump out for rebuild.
I have put a turbo rear pump in there before.

My research shows: 91160811006 Assuming you have CIS?

Does it look like this one?

Fuel pump for Porsche 911 - Porsche Classic

Our host has a BOSCH unit for $110.. (Same Porsche part number - 91160811006)
