Request for Help to ID some brakes and conversion kit I have.

Hi All,

These were mounted on a car that I have. I pulled them off to run 930 calipers and 15" wheels.

Can anyone identify or confirm that these are 993 TT brakes? ...maybe Bill Verburg is around today. I'm going to be selling these and want to be able to represent them accurately.

They have casting numbers 20.52.49.00 and 20.4692.00

You guys always take pics from a perspective that doesn't allow for an easy id.

Looks like the next size down from big red, they were oe on 993, 964RS, & 964 3.3t,
If i had to guess probably 964RS/993 3.3t, the difference between those and the 993 is the extended mounts which appear to be present in your pic

there were multiple versions of the small rears, hopefully you have the 993 version w/ 30/34 pistons the other likely candidate is 964 w/ 28/30 pistons orr 965 w/ 30/34 and a wider throat. The 965 fits comfortably on a 28mm rotor the 993 is for 24mm rotor but can be stretched on to a 28 w/ some effort.

big red will look like this w/ a hump on the outer edge of the pad box

993, 964RS, 964 3.3 t will be flat there, 964RS & 964 3.3 t will have the extended mounting legs seen here

Ok Bill, how are these photos?

Looks like big reds up front, right? I'm not sure about the rears. Not sure I measured the Pistons correctly...
