911SC: Removing "paint" from chrome window trim??
Hi everyone,
The PO of my 911SC painted the chrome window trim black (along with a not awesome black paint over of the entire car including painting the interior dash and door panels - cheapass!). Someday it will get stripped back to fair metal and resprayed white/cream but for now I would LOVE to return to the original chrome trim for a more classic look. My question is does anyone have a recommendation for the best approach to removing this paint before I botch this up? • Would paint stripper be idiotic? • Sanding? • Would I need to remove the frames from the car to do this? All advice greatly appreciated and before you slate me: YES I HAVE SEARCHED THE FORUMS and have not yet found an answer hence my reason for posting here. ;) Thanks everyone!! dK http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1528493480.JPG |

Using RSBob's link......... Look at me - seems to have worked. Good luck. Tedious but effective.
