HELP with brake caliper pistons from Pelican

Sorry guy I think I put this in the wrong place.

Hey guys Im rebuilding my 1982 911SC brake calipers. I have the "A" type front calipers.

So I purchased four front calipers from Pelican and 3 showed up the same and 1 different. See images. My question is did Porsche do a redesign at some time or is this a mistake?

The 3 look like early "S" aluminum style caliper pistons with the solid centers and a "button" like center. The one looks like the pistons in my current calipers, it has a hollowed out center.

So I called Pelican to resend and check their parts bins as all are marked in individual packaging with the same part # SIC-351-425-00.

So I now need 3 and they only send 2, and again its the wrong ones, or is it? When you look at the line item on Pelican and look at the images, the last 2 images show the "S" type looking pistons under the correct part #. So I'm confused. I will say they are the right size but they look different.

I've rebuilt several sets and the stock pistons all looked like the one in the lower right corner. Maybe the part number superseded to a new design?

I"d expect them to look like the lower right too. But I'd check with Bill Verburg and see if they have been superseded or if it is a variation of some sort.

I'd still prefer the piston to be as light as possible and for it to have a big air gap between the pads and the back of the piston.

All the ones iv'e seen are like the lower right

It probably doesn't make a difference, that's the pad face( if anti squeal spyders were used you would need the hollow on that side) as long as the working face and seals are the same.
