FS Factory 1969-73 Recaro sport seats with tilting brackets

Very nice shape, ready to bolt right in and use. The most comfortable factory seats you’ll ever find.

$11,000 located in SF CA

Trades welcomed - working on uploading more pics

I thought there were changes in 72/73 sport seats? Are they all the same 69-73? Are both sides identical?

crickets?

I think I'm one of the few who consistently respond to people, whether they ask questions in a thread, PM or email...not sure why others appear to ghost the community.

Seems odd, right?

The 69-73 sport seats are basically the same. The headrest changed for 72/73 and the tilting base changed as well from a single lock design to a double lock design. I believe that 69-73 were also delivered in driver and passenger seats. I know 68 was only delivered as a driver's seat so a pair would be 2 driver's

Hard to tell what bases are on these seats without a picture of the bottom but the upholstery looks correct for 70/71 (maybe 69 also)

The bolster material used to recover these is not technically correct for 70-71. Hole pattern is way too small and too many per square inch. There are those that swear that this style of perforated was available in 69 but, I’m not convinced. They look recovered to my eyes. D style headrests were used 72-73 IF the seats were originally trimmed in leather. If in vinyl, then the “peanut” style was used. For the asking, pictures of the webbing, recliners and consoles should be provided. Hard to tell what you’re getting otherwise.

Here is my original, unrestored passenger side Sport Seat from a 69 911....

This has the correct perforations in the side bolsters and appear to match the OP seats above.

Nice original seat Len but, I don’t think the OPs bolsters are trimmed like yours. Still appears on my screen like other reupholstered seats I’ve seen with the really small pattern.

Hi Michael,

Looking more closely, I see what you mean.

I wonder if the factory changed perforated material over time?

Def a smaller pattern w OP seats, but they sure look good. Wish I had the $$ to buy them.

Len
