Cool 915 Porsche Transmission ( '70-'71)

Sorry. 915 Trans was SOLD 2hrs ago.

'72 - '75 915 Transmission (not 70-71..oops!) Cross member included. Pick up only, or I'll bring to you if local Riverside or San Bernardino...or meet you halfway point if OC or LA. Ship?...maybe we can arrange. USA/ Canada only. $600. or best offer.

Joe,
The 915 wasn't released until 1972. The pictures show a 915 though. If you turn the box over and get the numbers stamped (not cast) into the rib across the bottom of it, it will tell people exactly what it is. Most likely a '72 or '73.

My bad. Yes it's a '72 and newer 915 trans. I tried to find the stamped number underneath but had no luck. Can you use Photo Shop. If so, can you or someone show me exactly where the number would be. I usually see it on the seem but I find no numbers there unless it's wore down. Thanks again for the info, bud.

No, it's pretty clean though. I picked it up with a 2.0 engine in a garage sale. Said,
"it was going to be used in a build" he never got to....so I figured it was okay. Spindles turn freely. I'm still looking to find the serial number off the bottom. Any pictures of where I can find that number. Or can you draw out a diagram?
