My 66 has tranny number 222289. If that helps at all. Mine is a pretty early '66, waiting on COA, but I think it was built in July or August of '65

The numbers are here on the 912 Registry. Scroll down past the chassis and engine numbers
https://www.912registry.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=22055&module_id=185540 And, there is a circle in th emain body casting, with a number like 566 or 1667 in it. The last two numbers are the year of the casting. The first one or two are NOT the month, but the week. 5= end of January or first week of February. 16= late March or early April (count the weeks).
