				engine lid seal

Okay, I bought an engine lid seal, it goes on the license plate panel, threaded in that channel - the seal is sorta wierd, it has a 'flap' (about 2"). does anyone know how this seal is installed? did i get the correct thing? does the flap sit flat over the rear panel? or up? i can't seem to find a photo with this. thank you, Chuck | ||

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I wish I had pictures to show as it would be easier than trying to describe it. The seal will slide on the licence plate panel starting at one end. If you look at the seal, there's a round edge/lip on one edge that will fit inside a little groove on the panel. It can only go one way. I used soap to get it nice and slippery, but also had to use a screwdriver to bend the lip up at quite a few places. hope this helps? Troy
