Does a Type 4 in a 912 need an upright fan?
For a stock-ish Type 4 swap into an earlier car is an upright fan conversion needed or is stock fan set up adequate?
Upright fans look the business but not looking to spend money on a potential conversion on (admittedly tasty) but no required items. Thanks for the thoughts/shared experience.

I don't see any reason why a stock type cooling system wouldn't work on a early 912 ala the 912E. You could probably even use the heater system which is a problem with the 911 style air cooling systems for TIVs
You'd have to do something with the rear mount, of course ... |

Thanks for the fast response.
LN Engineering makes a turnkey upright fan kit and a rear engine mount to go with it, checking on if the mount works absent their fan kit. Seems like it should but....

OK - LN bar is only for use with their upright cooling set up.
