New project 912-6 History unknown?
Hi Guys,
I bought a running "project" car and i'm really curious about it's history. Maybe we can use this community to find out who did the engine swap etc. as it's most likely done in USA. The car: 1965 912 with vin: 451835. Like all cars from this era it has many different model year details like early body style with fixed strutmounts, no camber adjustment. Somebody did a mediocre RS conversion to the body with LWB front fenders and LWB "RS/SC" flares on the back. Don't worry, it will be changed back to the correct SWB stuff! Original color for this car is Light Ivory instead of the Champagne Yellow it's currently painted in. The engine is a '68 2.0L from a sportomatic with code: 2180152 It came from the USA, Drove around in Belgium according the plates. And ended up in the Stolze collection a few years ago. Has been sitting there for atleast 4 or 5 years before I recently bought it. ![]()
