Unhappy Windshield chrome trim

I just reinstalled the windshield. Everything went well so far, but now I am having BIG trouble reinstalling the chrome trim. I just can't get it into the rubber.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

you need to pop the wind screen back out and install the trim in the rubber before the screen goes in.

If the trim doesn't fit properly it is a real horrible job so make sure it stays snug in the rubber before fitting it into the car. Don't use to much (if any) lubricant to push the chrome into the rubber as this will also help it pop out again when you fit the screen.

One thing my mate who did mine (RAC windscreen guy)showed me was a tool he had with a hook on it. Fit the rubber on the screen then the ali trim you can shape it at this stage then fit the screen if a corner pops out, with this hook you can pick the rubber out but BE VERY CAREfull not to scratch the car it worked for me (well I have one corner left to do ) but it works.
