Engine Cherp

Hello again,
I have a strange Cherp sound coming from the engine, Not the wheels, HA HA.
When the car is idling , once in awhile you can here 1 Cherp come from the engine.
I also have 1 Oil leek coming from the Main Pulley.
Does any one know what that might be.

Regards,
Andrew.

Check the base of the carberators. Run your fingers around the bases and you might find a little air leak. I had this problem. Dabbed some oil resistant silicone on the gap and that solved it.

Is it like a (sneeze) out the carb? Mine will do this if the idle adjustment is too lean or if the carbs are not in sync at idle.

A third brand of carburetor after Solexes and Webers that will run on our 912s. Some owners are very happy with them.
