Seats - recover 66
Our 1966 912 has some splitting in the drivers seat. It is a perforated vinyl.
I am looking for either the correct material, or recover kits, or excellent used (not likely!) The twist here is that the rear seats are not perforated, does this mean they have been recovered?, or did they use the plain vinyl in the rear? |

You might want to check with Wayne or Tom on what they can get. As well, I had excellent results from World Uphostery last year. Their prices were better than anyone and the material was an exact replacement of the basket weave type originally used on mine.

My '66 912 coupe still has the original rear sears, which do NOT have the perforated material, but they are pleated. The material matches the door panels and rear side panels.
Suggest you purchase a copy of Dr. Brett Johnson's book, The 911 & 912 Porsche: A restorer's Guide to Authenticity, Beeman Jorgensen, Inc. publishers. It covers 1964-1973 models, and includes many photos, including interior details. Cheers, Rick B |
